Vulcans

The Vulcans are a highly intelligent species who abandoned their emotions for pure logic. This was brought about by one Vulcan name Surak. He initiated this as a solution to the highly emotional and violent actions of his people to that point. Not all Vulcans were willing to give up their emotions and those who were unwilling to follow Surak left and formed colonies on other worlds. The most notable colony was one formed on Romulus. The Romulus Vulcans would evolve and become the Romulan people, close brothers but still off shoots of the Vulcans. Vulcans developed space travel by Earths 1900's and were exploring the galaxy. Adopting a philosophy of non interference, the Vuclans observed various species including Terrans. In 2063 a Vulcan survey ship observed a Terran warp ship and initiated an invasion of Earth or so it was perceived by the Terrans. From there a war broke out between the Terrans and the Vulcans. A war that was soon quelled by the Terran invasion and occupation of Vulcan. The Vulcans, being logical, surrendered and submitted to becoming subjects of the Terran empire. However, a resistance started born of the logic of the likely fall of the Terran Empire, they started to gather species together to fight the Empire. In 2258 the resistance suffered its greatest blow with out a shot fired by the Terran Empire. A Romulan weapon, the Narada, destroyed Vulcan which was secretly the head quarters for the resistance to the Terran Empire. Vulcans then became and endangered species and a much more valued subject for Terran slave owners.

Vulcans are identified typically by pale skin, pointed ears and upward angled eye brows. Typically they maintain very ridged and proper postures when standing, sitting and walking. Vulcans are vegetarians by nature but will consume meat if in a life or death survival situation.
