| General Overview | Aurora is a warm and welcoming young woman but she isn't afraid to speak her mind. She’s the daughter of an ex-slave who escaped her Human masters before travelling to Betazed, as such she’s a strong advocate for alien rights and isn’t afraid to show it. Unlike her Vulcan ancestors Aurora shows her emotions, she does have the ability to switch to her Vulcan training to control emotions such as pain but she prefers to be emotional rather than emotionless. She's tough when she needs to be, yet kind and caring at other times. |

| Personal History | Aurora was born on Earth, her mother a slave to a Human master had fallen in love with a Betazoid man who was a regular visitor. Finding out she was pregnant she escaped her master with the help of her lover, hiding away until her baby was born. She and Aurora eventually made it to Betazed and a life free of slavery. They remained for several years before her mother's Terran master arrived on Betazed looking for his slave, not wanting to lose his family Aurora's father moved them off world to a more secure location. As she grew up Aurora became a very independent young woman. She wasn't afraid to be seen helping others and she earned the admiration of a Human Captain. Once she was old enough he sponsored her entry into the Terran Empire Training Academy. With their daughter independent her parents moved on again to a destination that even Aurora doesn't know. It was during her time at the Academy that Aurora caught another student trying to assault a friend, it was when he turned his attention to Aurora that she used her telepathic abilities in self defence implanting a terrifying vision into his mind that saw him taken from the Academy to the psychiatric ward where he still resides. Nothing was ever proven and his condition was put down to being a mental breakdown, only Aurora knows differently. Life at the Academy proved challenging especially once her Vulcan heritage came to light but Aurora was hell bound on completing her time and earning her place in the Terran fleet. She graduated top of every class and was assigned to her first Terran ship. Since then she’s carved herself a place on every ship she’s been on, she plans to prove that Vulcan’s can equal any Terran. Aurora is also part of a large underground network that has, for years worked to move Vulcan slaves and other mistreated aliens away from their Terran masters. The plan is to start a new Vulcan home-world a cause Aurora would happily give her life for. She has no idea that it's her parents who started the underground network. Having been promoted to Chief Science Officer she has also taken the chance to stake her claim on the man she'd had her eye on since boarding the Yamato, Captain Nathan Russ. |
